AnDroid upsetting the Iphone? Android Vs Iphone

Droid vs Iphone

Is the Iphone challenger finally here? The Google Android platform was a suprising 2 to 1 ratio winner over the Iphone according to a survey by Mashable.com In the showdown, about 66% of the participants believed the android platform is better, siting reasons like openness and cross devices usability.
This is interesting given that most experts could not pick a clear winner between the Iphone 3GS and the new Motorola Droid. In few cases where the Iphone was pronounced winner, the apps was the differentiator with the Iphone store having over 100,000 apps while the android market has a little over 10,000. That is a little unfair giving that the Iphone has a head start.
However, the question remains how long will the Iphone maintain its leadership? Or how soon will the android overtake the Iphone?
