Acer’s first dual-boot Android notebook – Acer Aspire One D250 was launched in the fall of 2009 in Japan. It takes a standard notebook specification and adds the Android operating system into the mix. A strong temptation for Android fans, but as a mainstream notebook this has limited appeal.

Challenges:

The notebook does not have a touch-screen display, which will present some challenges for the open source Google OS. Since, there are no designated keys to support Android, users have to use the track-pad and esc key frequently.
