Dell will unveil its new tablet device, running on Google-Android OS at CES 2010, beating Apple and perhaps the sus Eee Pad simultaneously.

The new Dell tablet emerges from the ashes of CrunchPad joojoo and the Archos Internet Tablet. Thee new Dell tablet will allow users to surf the Internet from a handheld device bigger than a touchscreen smartphone, but smaller than a standard netbook.

Product details are hush-hush so far, but our sources tell us that it will feature a 5-inch screen, running on the Android OS and will be official launched in the UK market this new year, with an announcement expected at CES 2010 in Las Vegas.

On trying to gain a comment on the product, Dell reacted by saying:

“Dell continually develops and tests new products that extend the mobile experience. We have not made any product announcements and do not comment on speculation, rumour, or unannounced products”.

Devices that will provide a stiff competition are Microsoft rumoured Courier, Apple tablet and HP Slate.

We will keep you posted!
