Google continuously strives to improve itself from time to time. Initially, they introduced the “near me now” search option for Google Mobile and Google Android Mobile. And, now with its current launch of “nearby” on the desktop the location-based search results is even sleeker.

Users can pop open the search options panel on Google.com and choose “nearby”. It will exclusively return results from your general geographic area.

It exhibits useful results that might have escaped from a viewer’s eye or perhaps not even aware of that particular area’s existence, had the user searched the result by inserting city name. It saves both time and effort as well while searching a query.

But what about people who live in small towns, and want to search the whole region? Google offers a solution for them too- search by city, region, or state.
