For a movie buff like me, Fandango has provided me with ample relaxation and happiness. With its easy to use interface and awesome features I can frequent the movie theater at my own convenience.
The latest update from Fandango is the ability to send movie tickets as barcodes to the Android phones. The company has labeled this feature as “Mobile Ticket” program and has introduced the application in the following eight U.S. markets:
New York: City Cinemas 1, 2 & 3, Angelika Film Center, East 86th Street Cinemas, Village East Cinema, Beekman Theatre, The Paris Theatre.
New Jersey: Manville 12 Plex.
Houston: Angelika Film Center.
Dallas/Plano: Angelika Dallas; Angelika Plano.
San Diego: La Mesa Grossmont Center, Clairemont Town Square Stadium.
Bakersfield: Valley Plaza 16.
Sonoma County: Rohnert Park 16.
Hawaii: Ward Stadium, Kahala Theater, Kapolei 16, Mililani Stadium.
Currently the tickets can be purchased through the Fandango BlackBerry app. More markets and more phones will enjoy the benefits of this app soon. With a Mobile Ticket you can walk straight to the ticket taker and they’ll scan you in, allowing you to skip the box office and kiosk.
This is an excellent option for all of us who detest standing in long queues and when we finally make to the ticket counter either “House-Full” is displayed or we fail to get the seats of our choice.
Go grab the new version of Fandango!
