After HP acquired Palm for $1.2b, Todd Bradley of HP wasted no time to reveal their objectives. He said, “Between smartphones, slates, and potentially netbooks, there are a lot of opportunities here.” Most techies and analysts believed that Palm’s WebOS is strong enough to compete with the iPhone, yet none of the company’s products is doing well in the market. HP has done well in the computer industry now it faces a big challenge of reviving a sinking company. If HP is able to make good on this promise may be Palm will become a popular alternative to Android, Blackberry, and iPhone in the near future.
