Outstanding Vodafone 845 with Android 2.1
Vodaphone already has a number of impressive android powered handsets (launching the HTC Desire, HTC Legend, and the Sony Ericsson X10 this month alone), and plan to add to that lineup with the Vodafone 845 rumored to launch by the end of Q2 2010.
Manufactured by Huawei, the Vodafone 845 will be powered by the latest Android 2.1 software, and will feature a 2.8-inch touchscreen display (QVGA resolution), a 3.2 mega-pixel camera, Bluetooth 2.1 and WiFi b/g connectivity, and support for triband GSM/GPRS/EDGE at 900/1800/1900 MHz as well as dualband UMTS/HSDPA at 900/2100 MHz.
Measuring just 100 x 55 x 13 mm, the Vodafone 845 is set to be one of the smallest Android handsets available.
Comparing photos, the Vodafone 845 appears to support the Vodafone 360 service, although all the usual Gmail, Maps, and Market services will arrive pre-installed on the device.
Still no official release date, but the handset is expected to launch in European Vodafone markets in Q2 2010.
Earlier this week it was revealed the European network Orange plan to launch their own budget Android handset, the Orange Boston, later this year.
