Android 2.2 feature: Adobe Flash 10.1 beta

No Comments Android, Android Apps, News

We were very interested for Android2.2 and its all features. Android 2.2 came with many new features. Among these Adobe flash is one of the most remarkable features that appealed millions of Android fans.

It was and great idea using Flash on mobile device. I was little bit more interested about Flash. That’s I scrutinized to find out something new. After playing with it for a few days to prepare for this write-up, my mind has changed and I’m now a believer.  Everyone’s experience will differ, but I’m not seeing the battery decimation that we all expected, and even while playing games, the phone is still responsive and the Flash content itself — well, check out the video to find out something different.

HDMI available for the Sprint EVO

No Comments Android, Android Apps, News

Now micro HDMI cable for Sprint EVO is available for retail store, but several blog leaked out that it is now available on online. Arrow Electronics is selling the correct cable for under $10 and I overnighted one to test it out. If you feel like grabbing your own, they have about 125 left in stock and my order processing went very smooth. If those happen to sell out, I’m sure our Android accessories store will stock them soon.

You can use HDMI very easily as it’s just plug and play. . After the micro HDMI cable is connected to the phone and TV, there will be a HDMI icon in the notification bar to let you know everything is working.

Now you can easily send video to a TV,  but it appears the functionality is limited to the Gallery app right now. Users can playback pictures and video that they captured on the phone and that’s about it. I’ve been told Sprint is blocking the other apps from displaying video due to DRM issues.

Threre is nothing to worry, features may b eexpanded in a future software update. If anybody gets update of this software, let me know and I’ll share with the group.

Some people claimed that youtube works weill in it,but I was not able to  do this with it. There may be compatibility problem ,  but I think there will be  a solution for it.

Manage Audio/Video on VLC Android

No Comments Uncategorized

VLC Remote controls the music and videos stored on the desktop computer. The app propels users to switch between full-screen mode; change volume settings, and create or manage playlists. It supports pairing with multiple computers, allowing users to move from their office computers to home computer that supports audio/visual link. Download VLC from the Android Market for $1.99.
Upon installing the software on the PC, VLC Remote controls;
• Playback of audio and video directly on your phone.
• Set skip distance to move forward from 5 seconds to 15 minutes.
• Creates profile to control multiple computers simultaneously.
• Works with VLC’s advanced controls and DVD controls.
However, it has limitations as well. It cannot stream from computer to device, and does not have an in-app search feature for quick access to certain files.

Google Android Has Captured All Markets

No Comments Uncategorized

With the launch of Apple iPhone in Korea, the giants Samsung and LG are teaming up with Google Android to keep their market share and increase their brand awareness in the smartphone segment.
The Google Android with its open source platform provides a tough competition for Apple. Today, many cell phone manufacturers have teamed up with Android technology to offer its users a complete Internet telephony experience.
Portable Media Player (PMP) has adopted Android on their device to link it with the Internet and protect their market share from being confiscated by smartphone segment. Companies like Cowon, iRiver, iStation and Viliv are looking forward to launching their first Google Android based PMP. Why? Since many users prefer to keep their entertainment mobile phones and use PMP to access the Internet. Korea’s top mobile company Pantech has announced Smart Multimedia Player (SMP) based on Android technology and will be released in June. This product will hold close resemblance to their existing Android smartphone versions without voice call feature.
After the immense success of iPad worldwide many PC makers are engaging in Android based tablets.
Android E-book, Android PMP, Android SMP, Android Tablet and Smartphone are no more science fiction!
However, all these companies must have GPS, 5M camera and accelerometer in their products before venturing with Google Android.
