Android 2.2 or Froyo is what everyone is waiting for now. According to numerous sources, the new Android OS is scheduled for release next week during the Google I/O event. Adobe and Google have already confirmed that Android 2.2 supports Flash 10.1, while Google hopes it will will also reduce fragmentation. Android Police tested Froyo on a Nexus One for a week and found it to bring a 450 percent performance boast.
Meanwhile, TechCrunch said Froyo will have built-in USB tethering to let users share their data connection with their laptop. The OS will also let users turn their Android device into a WiFi hotspot. Lets hope that 2.2 will take Android to the next level.
