Google updated their Maps options yesterday that include biking directions, a new Navigation icon, a shortcut to share places with friends, and more.
A new cool bicycling layer is now available on the map which shows dedicated bike-only trails (dark green), roads with bike lanes (light green), or roads that are good for biking but lack a dedicated lane (dashed green). The Navigation app appears to be the same, but Google added a dedicated icon so users can create a shortcut on their desktop. Finally users can now easily share any location using the new share button on the place pages.
Android 1.6+ version is needed for the Google apps, but many first-gen phones are soon to be upgraded so be on the lookout.
