The need to replace Android keyboards with latest and updated technology is the current fad. That being said, the latest entrant to jump the bandwagon is 8Pen with its gesture-based keyboard that has the learning curve.
Until now, Motorola Droid X has the best soft keyboard, with Swype following the lead. With 8Pen aligned in X shape, and requires you to move your finger clockwise or counter-clockwise to type, may give a tough competition to the winners. We have been wondering about the shape, and enquired with the 8Pen officials, who claim the method of entering text is meant to be like physical handwriting.
