3qubits – creators of 8pen have been intently listening to user feedback on their radical new input method, because they released a rather effective update. Unlike earlier today with the v1.1 updates, 8pen has removed the entry fee altogether. Let us look at the changes incorporated:
A hovering swipe-board preview now appears above the entry pad, displaying the letter you have currently selected. This will enable you to alleviate the “trying to look through my thumb” problem for new users still learning the letter layout
Now enabling a voice input in the settings, along with enable/disable auto-space on lift
There is a new dark theme to choose, along with the white and transparent themes previously included
With four sizes now available the height of the board can be altered
Improved dictionary support
Bugfixes for FCs and support for the HTC Wildfire
We hope in the near future we would see more features
