Evernote, the awesome note-taking service has finally released an overhauled Evernote 2.0 version in the Android Market, following a month long beta testing phase. The updated version brings a refreshing and much-needed changes and features.

So what’s new? Arguably the most necessary change was the whole interface of the app. The new version is shiny and clean, displaying the new powers bestowed upon it. Even the widget received a facelift adding to the usability of the app, making me WANT to use it.

In addition to the UI changes, Evernote has added features that help to streamline your work or study notes. Now you can search specifically by tags including viewing different notebooks separately. This is particularly helpful when you are searching for a note but aren’t sure exactly which one or you’re casually browsing your organized notes. The app is also integrated with the Google Search app to make the searching easier for you. Further, you can also create shortcuts on your home screen to individual notes or searches.

The note creation screen has changed radically, accelerating the process of note taking. Now, add images and audio in-line as well as add tags from a list instead of remembering individual notes. Awesome!

The largest and most important change is the automatic download for offline viewing and more important for users with premium membership account, save them for later viewing.

So, whether you’re using Evernote to organize your work documents or to streamline your school notes, these changes you would simply love.
