TeamViewer Now On your Android

TeamViewer launched its beta app for Android recently and the app is fantastic. Of all the VNC apps I’ve used so far, this is the ultimate prize. Let’s look what it has to offer us.

For install and running the TeamViewer Android application, you would require beta v.6 of the desktop client. The best part is once it’s done, you need not install any more stuff on the host computer. Install option is good for users who would keep accessing their computers often, while Run option is better for the rest of us.

Upon running the server software, it would generate unique ID and random password for you to provide the person, taking control of your computer. You can even regenerate a password, if the connection breaks in the middle of a session. This means that you would not require the intervention of tech support a second time and that your data is safe from malicious IT personnel or blog visitor.

The Android version of TeamViewer allows users to navigate with ease including restarting the host computer. With helpful tips popup displays, the user has more control and better permeability of the system, even over 3G connections. The panning of the screen with the click of the mouse is simply awesome, I bet no other app can do the job that well as TeamViewer has.

Word prediction is incredible and definitely, my favourite feature. It certainly eases the stress on my fingers.

Verdict: Awesome application with smooth navigation, and to top the icing on the cake, you do not have to install a darn thing on the host computer to use it. For a free app, it couldn’t get much better.

TeamViewer has been useful for iOS until now, but I hope it will be better on Android Devices too. I think better experience for us when using TeamViewer for Android on the Tablets, like Galxy Tab…

    Thanks for the Tip,

I guess this review is ‘awesome’ for those who already know what the hell “TeamView” does…

Why don’t you at least fill us in with what the program is supposed to do for me… is it a game?

is it some sort of workshare app?

    who the hell knows?

thanks for the ‘inside review’ for those in the know..

@AnotherOpinion, the app is for remote access, kind of a mini Go to my PC.

Controlling my Windows desktop from a tiny Android screen seems useless to me. I hope it can also be used to control an Android from a Windows system.
