Google unveiled the first official preview of the Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS at CES 2011, yesterday, lifting the curtains from the dubious speculations- if Google Android 3.0 OS was Android Honeycomb OS or advanced Gingerbread.

Honeycomb is indeed Google Android 3.0 and is the most significant Android OS upgrade because it completely enhances the user interface adding elegance to the look and feel of the OS. Honeycomb is designed from the scratch keeping tablets in mind.

At CES 2011, Google previewed the Android 3.0 announcing that this version of Android OS was specifically designed for devices with larger screen sizes, picture in focus: tablet PCs. It brings better multi-tasking support, a suave ”holographic” user interface, redesigned widgets, refined web browser and better YouTube video playback support.

Other interesting features include access to over 3 million Google ebooks, Google Talk, Google Voice and video chat support, Google Maps 5 with 3D interaction, access to over 1,00,000 apps on the Android Market, sync support for Google Chrome bookmarks and incognito mode for private browsing.
