We got our first chance to check out the Entourage Pocket Edge eBook reader at CES 2011. Unlike the original Edge, the Pocket version was too large to fit in a pocket and featured two screens: an E Ink display and a full color LCD screen. However, the latest version is smaller, with 6-inch E Ink display and 7- inch LCD.
The E Ink display features a Wacom digitizer, allowing you to take notes on the device and save notes and images for viewing on the color LCD display. It runs on Google Android, and you can surf the web, listen to music, and run third party Android apps.
When using both screens, you should get about 4 to 6 hours of run time, but you can also turn off the LCD display altogether and only use the E Ink screen for up to 11 hours of reading.
The Pocket Edge is available from Amazon for $328.
