Google’s Android is expected to experience a drastic surge in Thailand Smartphone market this year, propelled by new devices including budget-priced handsets from China, will increase the Android uptake in the country.
Companies like Samsung and LG have already announced a series of budget Android devices, and more launches are expected at the upcoming MWC 2011 in Barcelona. Many of these phones will arrive in Thailand soon, with major chunk of them falling in the price range of 6,000-12,000 baht.
With the rise of social networks, and digital friendly young generation, smartphone rise is not going to stop anytime soon, and Android seems to be a winner in this situation.
