CyanogenMod team Release CM7 RC4 with Gingerbread OS

No Comments About, Android, Android OS, Android SDK, News

Only a couple of day ago, CyanogenMod team released its third candidate (RC) for CyanogenMod 7, and today the RC 4 version is ready for download.

This build most likely will be the last release candidate before we see a final, stable version of CM7. That’s a positive news, because CM7 RC4 is fairly stable. Some existing bugs on the EVO and Nexus One are yet to be fixed, but there should be plenty of other bug fixes within this release. Those of you with NookColor will be delighted to know that hardware acceleration is now supported in this build.

That said, the team is headed for a stable release of CM7 based on Android 2.3 OS aka Gingerbread. This alone helps the CyanogenMod team to easily target bugs that must be addressed.

At this rate, we are likely to see a stable release of CyanogenMod 7 as the popular custom Android ROM available!

How To: Stream Amazon Cloud Player Music On iPhone

No Comments Android, Apple, How Tos, News

Even though Amazon stranded iOS owners in the middle of nowhere with its new Cloud Player service, there’s still a way to stream your songs via the mobile version of Safari. However, this method allows you to listen one song at a time, and these songs can be only played on the Safari’s audio player.

Guess that’s good for those who really need to listen to a song in their Amazon locker and can’t get to a computer. Here’s what you do:

Step 1: Go to Amazon.com and log in with your account.

Step 2: Click the Cloud Drive link.

Step 3: Select the folder and music file you wish to listen. Tap the check box next to those songs and then tap the “Download” button at the top of your screen.

Step 4:  Safari will launch QuickTime audio player and begin streaming your song. If you want to listen to the next song on your list, go back to the Cloud Drive again.

A good method, but surely a cumbersome one, as you have to keeping going back and forth.

Instead, give SugarSync a try. It stores up to 5 GB of music for free and stream it to any Android or iOS device
