It may not be a feature that would be used daily; however, it’s worth every dime. HTC EVO 4G is the very first Android device that has launched an HDMI port on it. That said, currently the handset could only display the Gallery application and YouTube videos when hooking it up to a TV. But, with the creation of the new app – FullHDMI allows your EVO to mirror the Sense UI right on your TV, with support of multiple resolutions.

This solution does not require the complicated custom kernel. However, you’ll have to root EVO, and have to separately purchase the mini HDMI to HDMI cable.

Since the EVO’s version of Sense UI doesn’t allow landscape viewing of the home-screen, you may consider downloading a home replacement app – Launcher Pro. After you’re EVO looks nice on the big screen, you can start playing your favorite games right on your TV. Those of you running a custom ROM that’s not Sense-based should be warned that audio output will only come from the phone itself.

The app is priced at $2.99 on the Android Market, so if you have a rooted EVO, the HDMI cable and three bucks to spare, why not go ahead?
