The highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S II will be available in India from May 2011 onwards. A worthy successor to the heavily popular Galaxy S GT-I9000, the new Samsung Galaxy S II sports a massive 4.3-inch multi-touch with Super AMOLED Plus display and 480×800 pixel resolution. Under the 8.5mm slim body, it houses a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, however we are awaiting, for an official confirmation from Samsung India.
Galaxy S II is the first Gingerbread aka Android 2.3 smartphone from Samsung that will be launched on the Indian sub-continent. It will have TouchWiz 4.0 UI layered on it, and pre-loaded with 8 megapixel camera capable of 1080p full HD recording, 2 megapixel front facing camera, 1GB RAM, 3G Support, Bluetooth 3.0, A-GPS, Wi-Fi, and 1650 mAh battery.
Samsung’s flagship model will come with Social Hub for India, and we expect the Music Hub and Game Hub as well.
Being a top of the line smartphone, expect the price to be higher than $667. And, if you want to wait until the price falls then it would take about 3-4 months, but we cannot guarantee it.
