Google releases “Google Walking Navigation” for Android

Google has released Google Walking Navigation for Android, albeit in beta form, which assists those on foot in finding their way to what ever destination they’re aiming for. In addition, Google has released Street View for navigation as well. The two new downloads are compatible with Android 1.6 or greater, and are available for download now. In addition, Google has added search to maps for easier navigation.

Android to get Google Instant this fall

Google has revealed, during its San Franciscan press conference, that its new, super-speedy search functionality will also be coming to mobile devices “later this fall”.

The handset version was briefly demoed. Few other details are known as present, we are sure Android will be the first mobile OS to get Google instant given the situation between Apple and Google, it may take a while before iPhone users start doing instant search.

G2 brings 4G to T-mobile

T-Mobile has announced, via its Facebook page, that pre-registration has opened for the much anticipated T-Mobile G2.

The G2 is a hinge based device with a full QWERTY keyboard that is running Froyo (Android 2.2) and has a 3.7-inch touchscreen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7230 800 MHz CPU, and offers a gateway to T-Mobile’s new HSPA+ network2 4G service.

The camera specs are pretty impressive too. It has 720p video and a 5-megapixel stills snapper, with LED flash and auto-focus.

It comes with a 4GB on board memory and will ship with an 8GB microSD card, which can be upgraded to 32GB. It is fully integration with a number of Google apps, including Google Voice.

You can register for updates now. Pre-orders will begin for existing T-Mobile customers later this month.
