How to Improve Voice Quality on HTC EVO 3D Phone

If you recently purchased HTC EVO 3D phone and facing issues with voice clarity, it’s a bug which soon will be sorted out once the firmware update arrives in the future. But you need not wait for an update to arrive as we bring you a fix for it.

Instructions:

 Step 1: Open the dialer application and dial the number of “##3282#” after which you will get notification where in you need to choose the option of “Edit Mode”.

 Step 2: Once you choose the edit mode option, you will be asked to enter the MSL code which you have got by following the above procedure or from the operator as mentioned in the above step.

 Step 3: After entering the MSL Code, you will have to select the option of “Advanced” and then you will have to enable the option of “EVRC-B” and then change the value of “Home Orig” to the “EVRC-B”.

 Step 4: After this, change the value of “Roam Orig” to the “EVRC-B”.

 Now, just tap on the “Menu” key to save the changes and that’s it there you go, you have now successfully updated your phone and now the issue of poor voice clarity is now solved on your HTC Evo 3D phone. How to Update Samsung Galaxy S Epic 4G to Gingerbread 2.3.3

With more and more devices receiving the latest 2.3.4 Android Gingerbread version, it is the question of pride for some, while others suffer in silence. But here’s the good news for Samsung Epic 4G owners as now you will be able to update your phones with 2.3.3 Gingerbread version

Procedure:

Step 1: Download Gingerbread Upgrade package, containing Odin flash tool, the EC 05 firmware file, CWM 0.2.5 update, one click root for your phone for your convenience.

Step 2: After downloading the firmware package, unzip the same.

Step 3: After file extraction, open the Odin and then switch Off your device and then switch it ON in the download mode after this from your computer keep the Odin program opened.

 Step 4: Download mode in the Samsung Epic 4G by long pressing 1, followed by press the power button after which you will get a yellow triangle. Once the yellow triangle pops up, connect the phone with computer via USB, while keeping the Odin as open in the computer.

 Step 4: Now ID:COM lamp will glow yellow and this mean that all the required drivers have been installed successfully and you are ready to flash the device.

 Step 5: Click the PIT option and select the file “victory_8G_100528.pit”> Click on the PDA file to select “SPH-D700-EC05-8gb-AAD”. Please note that this firmware can only be applied to the 8 GB version.

 Step 6: After loading the files, ensure you have unchecked everything on the left side of the window except the “Auto Reboot” option which should be ticked.

 Step 7: After selecting the files, wait for the process to finish and then after few minutes the device will be rebooted and Samsung Epic 4G will be on the latest 2.3.3 Gingerbread version.

Step 8: Now that you have successfully installed the latest firmware, now install the Modem for your Samsung Epic 4G. Switch off the phone to get into the download mode.

 Step 9: Long press 1 on the phone, followed by pressing the power button, you will enter the download mode. Upon receiving the yellow triangle, connect the phone with computer via USB, while keeping the Odin as open in the computer.    

Step 10: Now ID:COM lamp will glow yellow and this mean that all the required drivers have been installed successfully and you are ready to flash the device.

 Step 5: Click the PIT option and select the file “victory_8G_100528.pit”> Click on the PDA file to select “EC03-modem-AndroidAdvices” from the unzipped file. Ensure that you have unchecked everything on the left side of the window except the “Auto Reboot” option which should be ticked

 Step 6: After selecting the files and double-check the same. Click on the Start option to initiate the modem installation process and don’t interrupt the process, else you will again have to proceed from the start.

 Step 7: As soon as the device is rebooted, you will see that the firmware is updated successfully with the new stable and speedy modem.

Bingo! The installation process is complete!

How to Root Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 P7500

For all those proud owners of dazzling Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 P 7500 have a reason to smile, we bring to you a tutorial that will reveal how you can update your Samsung device to the latest Honeycomb 3.1 version.

Pre Root Instructions:

  • Warranty will cease once you root Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, though warranty can be claimed back upon un-rooting your device.
  • Create a backup of your important files, pictures, music, videos and other data, in case you lose data while rooting your device
  • Ensure that you have the installed the latest framework in your computer and latest version of KIES (KIES 2) so that all the required drivers are installed successfully. Also, ensure you have the latest version of Windows operating system – Windows 7 installed. All latest drivers of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 are required before proceeding to root.
  •  Maintain a minimum battery power of 50% to facilitate uninterrupted rooting process.
  • During the rooting process the APN settings used to access the Internet will be wiped off completely, so note don the required settings to configure them back once the rooting process is complete. Also, ensure you have secured MMS and 3G Settings.

Procedure:

Step 1: Install the drivers of Samsung Galaxy Tab on your device and reboot it.

Step 2: Now plug the USB cable to connect the Galaxy Tab with the computer loaded with the required drivers and Windows7.

Step 3: Now, download the Root Exploit Zip File application on your computer, transfer the same to your Galaxy Tab.  Ensure that zip file is not saved in any of the sub folders or renamed else the file not be detected and eventually the tablet will not be rooted.

Step 4: Open “Command Prompt” on your computer> Type the command

adb push Samsung_Galaxy_Tab_10.1_root.zip /sdcard/Samsung_Galaxy_Tab_10.1_root.zip

adb reboot recovery

Step 5: Now, the phone enters Recovery mode. Select the zip file on your Samsung Galaxy Tab, this will initiate the rooting process, and within a span of 5-10 minutes, the device will be rooted.

Bingo! Your phone is rooted!

How To Root Acer Iconia A500 on Honeycomb

Rooting enables Android phone users to host third party applications and customize the open-source Android platform for better functionality. The downside, rooting voids the warranty. Therefore, it is important to understand the strings attached to the rooting process before initiating the process. Here is the process of rooting Acer Iconia A500 Honeycomb phone.

Pre Rooting Instructions:

Create a backup of all the data files like applications, call log, messages, music, videos and other graphical data present in the phone. In an unlikely event, where your data might be lost, a backup enables you to recover it.

The battery power should be at least 50% to facilitate smoother rooting process, else there is a high possibility to the rooting process is hindered.

During the rooting process, APN settings- used to access the Internet will be completely erased, therefore, you must note down all the required settings, so that you can configure them back, once the device is rooted. Additionally back up the MMS Settings and other settings in case the data is lost.

Procedure:

 Step 1: Ensure USB Debugging is enabled in your phone and you have safely secures the data both in phone and on SD card.

Step 2: Download the Rooting Package on your computer> Unzip the file to obtain iconiaroot APK file> Transfer the same to Acer Iconica A500 phone via the USB cable.

Step 3: After copying the application on your phone, open and install the file on your phone. Now, open the installed Iconia root application, and choose the option of “Root Device.”

Step 4: Wait for the rooting process to complete. It may take up to 10 minutes.

Step 5: Once the rooting process is complete, install applications like Busy Box to further customize your phone experience.

Step 6: Ensure that the super user app is installed in your Acer Iconica A500 for the proper unctioning of the phone.

Note: If you want to get back the warranty, simply un-root the device by uninstalling the iconia root application.
