Is not a condom, is an Android phone

When parents begin to have too many kids, naming could become an issue. But, thanks to thousands of years of human existence, there is enough names to pick from. The same can not be said of makers of Android phones, as their naming schemes seem to always demonstrate interest in condom or something related. May be they are trying to tell us they are making sexy product.

850K Android devices activated each day, Google

Android is officially a wonder-kid. 850,000 Android devices is getting activated per day, that’s according to Android chief Andy Rubin, who unveiled the statistic on his Google+ page today. He also dished on a few other impressive stats, including activating a total of 300 million Android phones and boasting of more than 450,000 applications on the Android market.

LG showcases new list of phones

From LG and most phone hardware company the Mobile World Congress is going to be a case of how do you want . LG is has cooked up some impressive phone for this year event, starting with a quad-core phone. Yes, a quad-core that should good enough to out perform your old PC. The company’s new L-Style series kicks off with three handsets ranging from the 3.2-inch L3, through the 4-inch L5, to the flagship 4.3-inch L7, while the also updated there old Optimus 3D to Optimus 3D Max. Along also comes their quad-core phone, the LG Optimus 4X HD.

The Vu is a super-sized smartphone that fits somewhere between a smartphone and a tablet. It features a 5-inch, 1024 x 768, 4:3 aspect ratio IPS display and is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor and 1 GB of RAM. It will initially come running Android 2.3, but LG has promised an update to Android 4.0 shortly after launch. It features LTE support and comes with 32 GB of internal memory and a 2,080 mAh battery.

The biggest news from LG at MWC 2012 is the Optimus 4X HD, which is the company’s first quad-core powered smartphone thanks to a 1.5 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, which is assisted by 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. It comes running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), and boasts a 4.7-inch 1280 x 720 True HD IPS display. There’s an 8-megapixel rear camera and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera along with a 2,150 mAh battery packed inside an 8.9 mm (0.35-in) thin body. It is due to launch in Europe before mid year.LG is yet to release pricing details for the new handsets.

LG Optimus 3D Max World’s 1st phone with 3d video editing powered by Android

LG Optimus 3D Max is the world’s’ first phone with 3D video edition capabilities. The phone will feature 1.2GHz Dual-Core processor (OMAP4430) and 4.3-inch 3D WVGA Display with corning Gorilla Glass 2. According to LG this will be the world’s first phone that can handle 3d photo and 3d video editing on it’s 4.3-inch display.
