Acer will unveil a new Android Smartphone early next year. The unnamed smartphone features 4.8-inch LED-backlit touchscreen display with resolution of 1024 × 480 pixels, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 1GHz, 8- megapixel camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front facing camera for video telephony.

This 4.8-inch smartphone runs on Android OS Flash Player 10.1 and includes 6-axis motion sensor including gyro and accelerometer. The phone supports full metal body with subtle wavy back and the giving a sense of timeless elegance.

The Acer smarphone is packed with Wi-Fi N, Bluetooth 3.0 and HSDPA connectivity. The large screen (4.8-inch) and good quality resolution (1024 x 480) is excellent for web browsing, and makes you feel as if you’re browsing on your PC, without zooming or scrolling the web page. 

Acer at an event in New York announced its new Android touch based products – Android Tablet and Android Smarthphone. For Android lovers, Acer has introduced three different tablets bearing screen size as 4.8-inch, 7-inch and 10.1-inch. And, smartphone with 4.8-inch widescreen display.

Android Tablets:

Google Android based Acer tablets will be available in three different screen sizes – 4.8-inch, 7-inch and 10.1-inch.

The 10.1-inch TFT LCD touch screen supports 1280×800 pixel resolution with 720p HD playback. It houses dual-core 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon microprocessor, capable of offering ultimate HD experience. Running Android Tablet OS, this tablet has Acer UI 4.5 layered over it. With 5- megapixel camera you can record HD video and a front facing camera for video conferencing. It carries HDMI port for connecting it to a larger HD display.

The 7-inch tablet has 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon microprocessor, supporting Flash 10.1 and hardware acceleration. Bears the same 720p HD playback capabilities, with 1280×800 pixel resolution, this 7-inch tablet will have the same Google Android with Acer UI 4.5 layered over it.

Both tablets are due for arrival in April 2011.               

Android Smartphone:

The next-gen Android enabled Smartphone from Acer introduces 4.8-inch display running on Android OS with Acer UI 4.5 version. Its massive 4.8-inch display supports 1280×480 pixel resolution and 21:9 aspect ratio. Acer added a whooping 8-megapixel camera with LED Flash at the rear and 2- megapixel camera at the front. The phone is capable of recording 720p HD video. Powered by 1GHz Snapdragon processor, this unnamed smartphone has six-axis gyroscope sensor and accelerometer. For bigger picture, connect it to HD screen via HDMI port. Wieless connectivity powered with 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and super-fast HSDPA connection offering up to 14.4 Mbps speeds.

This smartphone expected to arrive in April 2011.

I think, no one can’t but surprise to see the outlook of Acer Liquid E Ferari. It’s possessed a gorgeous look. I was stunned at first sight. It features the same underclocked 768MHz Snapdragon and Android 2.1 as the original Liquid E that launched in February, but, well, this one comes with a flashy Ferrari F1 Red paint job and matching Elite Bluetooth earpiece. Can’t say no to that, can you? You know the rest of the drill: 3.5-inch WVGA touchscreen, five megapixel camera with autofocus, geotagging, and adjustable ISO, included 8GB microSD card, and the Acer Sync app that syncs changes across your phone and PC. No word on price or availability, but it certainly looked pretty on the Computex show floor — we’ll let you know if we find out more.
