No Comments About, Android, Apps

Users who hate ads must buy paid versions of the game from Headcase Games. But, folks here’s the good news- Play for10 hours and you can avail the paid version for Free.

Users who don’t want to pay will download the free version and play, but they have to reach the goal of 10 hours play time before they can unlock a premium version. Why have ads when you can disable them? Even if these users are not going to avail the $1.99 game, they’ve done their jobs by playing the game and hopefully enough to get hooked. At this point, these users become valuable asset as they help to spread the word around. After that, it’s like a chain reaction – a lot easier to climb the popularity charts and get noticed.

So what do you think –users and developers?

Location, Location, Location! Apple reserving Location based Ads for themself?

No Comments Apple, Apps, Google

Apple may be reserving location based advertisement on iPhone for themself. In one of its posting, Apple message to apple developers is clear “If your app uses location-based information primarily to enable mobile advertisers to deliver targeted ads based on a user’s location, your app will be returned to you by the App Store Review Team for modification before it can be posted to the App Store.”, indicating its interest in location based ads.

With the new trends in smartphones, mobile, location based ads is definitely the future of advertisements. Google and Apple are equally aware as both have acquired leading mobile ads companies, Admob and Quattro Wireless respectively. Question is will Google, the King of ads, move in the direction of Apple to monopolize location based ads on android?
