Beware: DroidDream may get Bad to Worse

No Comments Android, Android OS

We received some inputs on the recent malware developments in the Android market from a seasoned coder, and I guess whose opining we can’t ignore. That said, we think we found something worse.
Among the related piracy tips, we are informed that more stolen apps were put up. As if it wasn’t enough, these apps are highly obfuscated (“garbled”) and encrypted – hiding something
In other words, the original code has been scrambled and encrypted to steal user important data. What we know is that it’s started a timer, and it’s counting down to something malicious. Our suggestion, do not store obvious tons of details.
Google and the security world were impressively fast to reply beforehand. Let’s hope they’re quick to the rescue once again.
