T-Mobile G2 Pre-orders Now Available for Existing Customers

No Comments Android, News

T-mobile G2

The moment is near: If you want a phone that echoes the glory of the first Android smartphone ever, the T-Mobile G1, you can now pre-order the T-Mobile G2 and receive it by October 6.

This offer is available only to existing T-Mobile customers, who will be getting their G2 early only if they order it before October 4.

The cost of the device is $250 before a $50 mail-in rebate with the standard two-year contract. Remember, though, the G2 will also be available in Best Buy stores on October 6 for $199 after a $50 instant rebate and a two-year contract. We guess the question you have to ask yourself is: Do you feel like parting (at least for a while) with an extra 50 bucks to get this phone a couple of days earlier?

T-Mobile G2 will be based on Android 2.2 and it will support HSPA+, the first T-Mobile to do so. It also has a full QWERTY keyboard, a 3.7-inch screen, an 800 MHz Snapdragon CPU, and a 5-megapixel camera with a LED flash and autofocus, capable of recording HD (720p) videos.

myTouch 3G Slide at June 2nd through T-Mobile

No Comments Android, News

My touch 3G Slide will be T-Mobile’s biggest launch this summer. This device will be available on June at T- Mobile’s retail stores, selected authorized dealers and partner locations, and online, with additional availability and an expanded marketing campaign beginning on June 16th. Customers can pick up the Slide in three colors (red, white, and black) from T-Mobile for $179.99 (after $50.00 mail-in rebate) with 2 year contract.

No price is fixed for the device yet, but we can guess from earlier leak the phone will retail for $ 399.

It is better to wait a couple more months before upgrading. The myTouch 3G Slide does not offer a significant performance boosts and higher-powered devices should be available in time for the holiday shopping season.

T-Mobile Motorola Motoroi is still in illusion

No Comments Android Apps, News

We have been rumoring from the last year for Droid-minus-keboard, finally it is running in the XT720 in South Korea and the XT7201 in Chinam, but it is still time dependent to U.S.A.

There was an rumor that the device was supposed to launch on T-Mobile USA earlier this year, but it failed to materialize and it looks like Motorola went back to the drawing board to beef up the specs.

Now it is stated by Pocket-link that Motorolla is going to releas a new designed phone called Motoroi in UK this year. The new handset should include Android 2.1 with Motoblur, 8 megapixel camera with xenon flash, play back and record 720p video, mini HDMI connector, and an unnamed processor.

It also featured  a 550 MHz Texas Instruments OMAP3430 in all their high-end Android phones so far. This processor might not have the higher clock speeds of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon, but it’s still based on the same ARM Cortex-A8 core.

It is uncertain which platform will be with this new Phone. They could opt for the next generation OMAP4 which features a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9, but it might be too soon to see those CPUs in a smartphone this year. Motorola currently uses Qualcomm chips in their mid-range Android lineup, so a more likely successor could be something from the Snapdragon family.

Motorola targeted about 14 million units phone sale with at least 20 smartphone. Verizon is expected to get a follow up to the Droid this Christmas, but look for T-Mobile USA to get their own exclusive high-end Android phone from Moto later this year.

I think new phone from Motorolla will be featured with high definition processor and diversified features. Do you agree with me?
